International co-operation is considered as one of the most important factors in determinning capability development of IER.
The IER has promoted co-operation with different universities, institutions and orgainizations in Vietnam as well as in other countries to expand opportunities for our staff trainning, for student exchange, and for strengthening our facilities.

The Project of SDC (Swiss Development Cooperation) links Swiss Federal Institute of Technology of Lausanne (EPFL) and IER is one of the typical international co-operation project that strengthens IER's capacity, with the target for IER to become the main center for research, education, training, and applying enviromental technologies in the South of Vietnam.

IER leadership always tries to expand working cooperation with diffferent offices, organizations, centers, universities, and other institutionss in scientific research, applying new technologies and sciences, developing human resources to contribute the environmental protection and sustainable development in industrialization and modernization processes.
